It is one of the largest traditional ornaments of Pahari women which they used to wear early days.

It can be up to 60-90 centimeters in length and can weigh up to half a kilo.

Whenever we talk about Indian women, we often hear the word “ Solah Shringhar”.  Maangteeka is one of the sixteen adornments of Solah Shringhar. 

Both Kumauni and Garhwali regions, a bride’s look is incomplete without a Maangteeka. 

CHAREU

Chareu consists of small beads, beaded in a thread with gold and silver pieces in between most Pahari women wear Chareu throughout their marital life and believe it as a bad omen to take it off.
