As per locals it is believed the Kedarnath Flood happened because of anger of Maa Dhari Devi which led to the destruction, later on it was found that because of flood Dhari Devi Idol was washed away and hit by a rock found near village Dharo fully submerged in water after some time a voice and in dreams of some villagers Maa Dhari Devi Ordered to get shifted to it original place after which Maa Dhari Devi temple was reconstructed to its original place and at present Maa Dhari Devi Temple is present on banks of Alaknanda river.
