🇦🇪 About Dubai
Dubai isn’t subtle. It’s excess, ambition, and adventure turned up to 11.
My first night here, I watched the fountain show at Burj Khalifa with hundreds of strangers. Lights danced. Music blared. Everyone stopped and stared. It felt like the city was performing for us.
Dubai is a playground for big ideas. Indoor ski slopes in the desert. The tallest building on Earth. An island shaped like a palm tree. Yeah, they did that.
But it’s not just for the rich. I ate like royalty for a few dirhams in Al Karama. Shawarma. Falafel. Mango juice is so cold it hurts. Old Dubai, around Al Fahidi, is a pocket of tradition. Explore the souks. Hop a boat across the creek for one dirham. Real vibes. Real stories.
Public transport is clean and fast. The metro is your best friend, especially during rush hour. But avoid peak summer—unless you enjoy walking into a hair dryer.
Feeling bold? Jet ski past the skyline. Zip line over Dubai Marina. Or take a hot air balloon ride over the desert at sunrise. It’s unreal.
Yes, it’s flashy. But don’t write it off. Because under all that glitter, Dubai is a city of dreamers. Of expats chasing opportunity. Of traditions quietly surviving in the shadow of skyscrapers.
You don’t just visit Dubai. You race it, taste it, and try to keep up.
