During this time, the roads are also open, making it easier to get around the region, also if you are interested in adventure sports such as trekking, river rafting, or mountain climbing,  This is when the weather is perfect for these activities.

However, if you are interested in winter sports such as winter treks, skiing, snowboarding then the best time to visit is from December to February ,this is when the region is covered in snow.

How to reach Ladakh?

Ladakh is well-connected to the rest of India by air, road, and rail.

By Air

The Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh is the nearest airport to Ladakh. It is well-connected to major cities in India, such as Delhi, Mumbai, and Srinagar. The airport is located at a distance of 3.5 km from Leh and can be reached by taxi or bus.

By Road

Ladakh can be accessed by road from Srinagar and Manali. The Srinagar-Leh highway and the Manali-Leh highway are the two main routes to reach Ladakh by road. These highways are open from May to November and are closed during the winter due to heavy snowfall.

By Rail

The nearest railway station to Ladakh is Jammu Tawi, which is well-connected to major cities in India. From Jammu, you can take a taxi or a bus to reach Leh.

Permits Required for your Ladakh Trip
