Shrikhand Mahadev Yatra Experience
We selected the yatra and completed in 2020 as one of our friend suggested we were very excited and energetic when we heard first time altogether it is one of the best feeling that can not be expressed one can only feel a pride feeling and the feeling of oneness to reach the top of Shrikhand is on next level.
Hope you will also feel the same to make your journey easier this experience of mine will help you and guide you for more you can refer to videos on my Youtube channel.
Day 1 – Jaon to Kali Top
You can start in the morning from Jaon after walking first point will be Singhad after crossing Singhaad then you will come across the river and the place named Barahati will come on your way from Barahati there is a steep ascent of 8 Km to Thacharu which is the toughest point once you reach Thacharu then from Thacharu your point of stay can be Kali Top which is 3km from Thacharu.
(Note: You can either plan your stay at Thacharu or Kali top.)
Day 2 – Kali Top to Parvati Bagh
The best thing is you have completed the hardest part as you can see the Shrikhand Mahadev from Kali top clearly if weather permits.
Second day you will descent to Bhimtalai and after crossing Bhimtalai you will reach Kunsa where you can rest for sometime after Kunsa you have to climb again to Lunabai there is steep height one you cross all you can see Bhimdwari where you can halt for lunch then straight after crossing waterfall and glacier you will reach the day destination that is Parvati Bagh.
Day 3 – Parvati Bagh to Shrikhand Mahadev (Final Day)
After trekking for consecutive two days now you are prepared for final day, well rested in Parvati Bagh one have to start early in the morning as because of high altitude.
It is advisable the morning window is clear keeping the climatic conditions in mind, once you start you will reach Nain Sarovar (A frozen lake where sometime you will see Brahmkamal) after crossing Nain Sarovar you will climb up to reach Bheembai the way will take time and it is not easy it is going to be the hardest part of your journey and from Bheembai there it is about 15 min journey left to find Lord Shiva (Shrikhand Mahadev) and after darshan you can plan to stay either Parvati Bagh or Bhimdwari.
(Note: This is the most difficult part of Yatra so one has to be careful as there are incident happened in past where people have lost there life because of lack of oxygen)
Day 4 – Bhim Dwari to Jaon
This is going to be the easiest part after the darshan to lord Shivalinga, Lord Ganesha and Maa Parvati at Shrikhand Mahadev you feel highly motivated you can start from Bhimdwari and continue to Jaon later in the evening you can stay in the village or proceed to you destination.
